Xiaolin Zheng, professor of mechanical engineering and senior fellow at the Precourt Institute for Energy. Professor Zheng’s research focuses on the development and testing of novel materials for energy and propulsion applications. It involves fundamental knowledge in materials and chemistry. A member of MRS, ACS and Combustion Institute, she received several awards including the TR35 Award from the MIT Technology Review (2013), 3M Nontenured Faculty Grant Award (2013), and the Presidential Early Career Award (PECASE) from the White House (2009).
